Joseph Pomeroy Widney High School is a special education magnet high school located in South Gramercy Place, Los Angeles, California. The school is part of Local District 3 of the Los Angeles Unified School District and is serving grades 7 through 12 on a traditional single track school calendar. Established in 1933, J. P. Widney High School serves students ranging in age from 13 to 22 who have severe disabilities and are thus unable to attend other high schools in the district. Because students are bussed to the Central Los Angeles school from surrounding communities, its student body reflects widely diverse cultural, ethnic and economic backgrounds.
