1951 - In September, White Point formally opened with 9 teachers and 323 students.
1952 - In January, the first batch of students graduated.
1969 - The school started a sight-saving class with eight students and one teacher, continuing until June 1979.
1970 - Classes for hearing-impaired were added.
1981 - The school's lowest enrollment was recorded at 237 students.
The school was a candidate for closure by the Board of Education because of the low enrollment, but was apparently saved by the building of Air Force housing at Fort MacArthur middle reservation.
