History
1926 - Tom Bradley Environmental Science and Humanities Charter Magnet, formerly known as 38th Street School, was built. It had a student population of 314.
1993 - Renamed to 39th Street School, the school expanded to cover the whole block between 38th and 39th.
1999 - In May, the school was renamed to Tom Bradley Environmental Science and Humanities Charter Magnet to honor the outstanding late mayor who made many contributions to the school and the community.
