South Gate Senior High School is a public secondary school located in Firestone Blvd., South Gate, California. South Gate high is part of Local District 6 of the Los Angeles Unified School District and was established way back in January 1930. The school serves grades 9 through 12 under a single track school calendar. South Gate's school colors are black, white and red while the school mascot is the ram. South Gate, city (1990 pop. 86,284), Los Angeles co., S Calif., an industrial suburb of Los Angeles; inc. 1923. Among the city's manufactures are metal, electrical, paper, and rubber products; consumer goods; machinery; foods; chemicals; cutting tools; and furniture. The city's population increased significantly in the late 20th century.
