Ramona Elementary School is a public primary school located in North Mariposa Avenue, Los Angeles, California. It was opened back in 1909 and serves pre-kindergarten through 5th grade levels following a traditional single track school calendar. Ramona is part of Local District 4 of the Los Angeles Unified School District. The school's students and staff are also nicknamed as "The Roadrunners." Ramona has approximately 820 students enrolled, majority of which are of Hispanic or Latino descent. The rest of the student body are White, Filipino, Asian, and African American. 95% of these students are participating in free or reduced-price lunch program.
