Northridge Middle School is a public middle school located in Chase Street, Northridge, California. Northridge MS first opened its doors to the public in 1954 and is currently serving grades 6 through 8 following a traditional single track school calendar. It is part of Local District 1 of the Los Angeles Unified School District and has approximately 1,153 students enrolled. Students and staff of Northridge MS are also known as the "Knights."

About the Neighborhood
Northridge is a community in the San Fernando Valley region of the City of Los Angeles, California.
The 1994 Northridge Earthquake is named for the community based on early estimates of the location of the quake's epicenter; however further refinements showed it to be technically in neighboring Reseda. The area was also heavily damaged in the 1971 Sylmar earthquake.
The current population is estimated to be 84,195.
