North Hollywood High School or simply as NHHS, is a public secondary school located in the San Fernando Valley, North Hollywood in Los Angeles, California. Opened in 1927 as Lankershim High School, NHHS is part of Local District 2 of the Los Angeles Unified School District and serves grades 9 to 12. The school enrolls approximately 3500 students each year and serves several neighborhoods, including most of North Hollywood, Valley Village, Studio City, and Woodbridge Park.

History
1927 - NHHS, formerly known as Lankershim High School, was founded.
2006 - East Valley High School opened and relieved North Hollywood. Grades 9 and 10 in the eastern portion of the North Hollywood attendance zone were reassigned to East Valley, with 11th and 12th grades phased into East Valley over a two-year period.

About the Neighborhood
North Hollywood is a district in the San Fernando Valley region of the City of Los Angeles, California. It is home to the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
Valhalla Memorial Park Cemetery is located in the area, and is notable for its special section memorializing aviators.
The new MTA Orange Line is now open, running from North Hollywood to Woodland Hills. The MTA Red Line also connects North Hollywood to Hollywood, Wilshire, and Downtown Los Angeles.
Admissions Info
North Hollywood High School enrolls students from the surrounding area. Students from anywhere in the Los Angeles Unified School District can enroll in our two magnet programs.
- Required Immunizations - New students will not be enrolled unless a written immunization record, provided by a physician or the health department, is presented at the time of enrollment and immunizations are up- to-date.
- Tuberculosis Clearance - All kindergarten students, all new first grade students who have never attended kindergarten and all students entering an Early Education Center must present a written report (usually on the immunization record) provided by a private physician or health department, giving the results of a Mantoux test for tuberculosis done within one year prior to school entry.
