Florence Nightingale Middle School is a public middle school located in North Figueroa Street, Los Angeles, California. Nightingale Middle School was founded back in 1937 and is a part of Local District 5 of the Los Angeles Unified School District. It follows a traditional single track school calendar and serves 6th through 8th grade education. It currently has 1,934 students enrolled.


Majority of the student body are Hispanic/Latino and Asians, but other ethnicities are also represented in the school like African Americans, White, American Indians/Alaska Natives, Filipinos, and Pacific Islanders. 90% of the students are participating in free or reduced-price lunch program; 40% of them are English language learners.
