Robert A. Millikan Middle School is a public middle school located in Sunnyslope Avenue, Sherman Oaks, California. The school was named in honor of Professor Robert Andrews Millikan, an American experimental physicist who won the 1923 Nobel Prize for his measurement of the charge on the electron and for his work on the photoelectric effect. The school was founded in 1959 and serves grades 6 to 8 in a traditional single track school calendar. Millikan is part of Local District 2 of the Los Angeles Unified School District.


The school has approximately 2004 students enrolled, predominantly White and Hispanic/Latino. Millikan's After School Clubs encourages students to participate in several sporting activities such as Basketball, Weight Club, Volleyball, and other events.

Sherman Oaks is situated along the Los Angeles River, Ventura Freeway, San Diego Freeway, Beverly Glen Boulevard, and Sepulveda Boulevard.
