Mark Twain Middle School is a public middle school located in Walgrove Avenue, Los Angeles, California. The school is part of Local District 3 of the Los Angeles Unified School District and was founded back in 1949. It serves students from 6th through 8th grades, following a traditional single track school calendar. It was named after the famous writer/humorist Mark Twain who wrote the world renowned story of "Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn." It has approximately 1229 students enrolled.


Mark Twain MS promotes several after school programs to help their students get involved and develop their skills, including The Story Project, Youth Services sports teams and dance classes, YWCA sports, arts and leadership programs, and L.A. Bridges leadership programs and field trips.

About the Neighborhood

South Robertson is a Los Angeles, California neighborhood south of Beverly Hills. It is often thought as a part of Beverlywood, but it has its own zip codes, 90034 and 90035, and a neighborhood council.
