Germain Elementary

Germain Street Elementary School is a traditional public suburban school located in Germain Street, Chatsworth, California. Germain Elementary is part of Local District 1 of the Los Angeles Unified School District and as of school year 2005-2006 has served 850 students enrolled in pre-kindergarten through 5th grade classes. Germain first opened its doors in 1963 and operates under a single track school calendar. Aside from the general education classrooms, it also service students in a variety of other programs. There are four special education classrooms, eight classrooms for English Language Development (ELD) and eight classes in the School for Advanced Studies program (SAS).
