The Francisco Bravo Medical Magnet High School is a public senior high school located in Cornwell Street, Los Angeles, California near the USC-County Medical Center. A part of the Los Angeles Unified School District, Bravo Medical Magnet High School was originally a magnet center established at nearby Lincoln High School before moving to Wilson High School from 1985 until 1989. The groundbreaking started in 1987 and construction was completed by 1990. The school focuses on providing quality education to students who plan to major in the healthcare field. Francisco Bravo Medical Magnet High School has been viewed as one of the top high schools in the state of California, placing number 192 in the Nation, according to Newsweek Magazine's List of Top U.S. High Schools.

History

1981 - Originally a magnet center established at nearby Lincoln High School.

1985 - 1989 - Moved to Wilson High School.

1987 - School groundbreaking.

1990 - Construction was completed.

2005-06 - Earned the National No Child Left Behind Title I Distinguished Schools Recognition Award, and the National No Child Left Behind Blue-Ribbon School Award.

1] Merge into I-10 East towards San Bernardino.

2] Take the I-10/San Bernardino Fwy exit towards San Bernardino.

3] Take the Soto Street Exit.

4] Turn left onto North Soto Street, then another left at Charlotte Street.

5] Finally, turn right at Cornwell Street.
