Alexander Fleming Middle School is a public junior high school located in Walnut Street, Lomita, California. Named after Sir Alexander Fleming, the school first opened as Narbonne High school before opening its doors in 1957 as Fleming Middle School. Fleming junior high is part of Local District 8 of the Los Angeles Unified School District and offers secondary education for 6th through 8th graders following a traditional single track calendar year. The school's total enrollees are at approximately 2013 students.
