Susan Miller Dorsey High School is a public high school located in the South Los Angeles section of Los Angeles, California and serves Baldwin Hills, Baldwin Village, Leimert Park, and portions of Jefferson Park. A part of the Los Angeles Unified School District, Dorsey High offers 9th through 12th grade high school education that started in 1937. It currently enrolls an average of 2,400 students per school year. Dorsey's school colors are green and white, and its mascots are the Dons (male) and Donnas (female). Dorsey High has had some problems with the gang influence around its area (Baldwin Village, more commonly referred to as "the Jungles"). The school is also recognized for doing well in sports specifically in football, basketball and track.
