Dearborn Elementary School is a public elementary school located in Northridge, California, just a mile east of California State University, Northridge (CSUN) in a residential neighborhood adjacent to Dearborn Park. A part of the Local District 1 in the Los Angeles Unified School District, Dearborn was opened in 1965 and is currently offering primary education from pre-kindergarten through 5th grade. In accordance with the Los Angeles Unified School District traditional calendar, it provides 180 days of academic instruction, consists of 170 regular days and 10 minimum days to provide teachers, parents and staff the opportunity to meet and plan a curriculum that satisfies LAUSD and California standards.

History
1964 - Dearborn Elementary School was built.
1997 - Was established as a Learn School.
2002 - Received the Kirk Douglas Playground Grant.
2004-05 - Was established as a School for Advanced Studies (SAS).
