Beckford is closely associated with Nobel Middle school and Granada High school as most of Beckford's alumni go to these schools for their higher education. The school also has a bilingual program where an English Language Development Program is used at each grade level. The Beckford Mascot is the Beckford Bear; the school logo is a paw print.
Beckford's average class size is 20 for kindergarten, 18 for both grade 1 and 2, 20 for grade 3, 33 for grade 4, and 32 for grade 5. 1968 - Beckford Avenue Elementary was founded.
1998 - Added portable classrooms to support the increased enrollment.
