Second Street Elementary School is a public primary school located in East second Street, in the Boyle Heights area of East Los Angeles in California just east of downtown LA, about 2 miles out. The school was established back in 1895 and is currently part of Local District 5 of the Los Angeles Unified School District. 2nd street serves pre-kindergarten through 5th grade students following a traditional single track school calendar.

From the NORTH... you can take the Santa Ana Frwy (I-5 South). Once on the Santa Ana Frwy keep an eye open for the Fourth (4th) Street exit in Boyle Heights Area. Once in the area, change over to the right lane. Exit at the Fourth (4th) Street exit and turn right on Fourth Street and the almost immediately (1 block after Frwy) turn right on State Street. Once you are on State Street you will see the School on your right side.
From the SOUTH... you can take the Sacramento Frwy (I-5 North). Once on the Sacramento Frwy keep an eye open for the Fourth (4th) Street exit in Boyle Heights Area. Once in the area, change over to the right lane. Exit at the Fourth (4th) Street exit and turn left on Fourth Street and the almost immediately (1 block after Frwy) turn right on State Street. Once you are on State Street you will see the School on your right side.
From the WEST... you can take the San Bernardino Frwy (I-10 East), then transfer to Sacramento Frwy (I-5 North). Once on the Sacramento Frwy, change over to the right lane. Exit at the Fourth (4th) Street exit and turn left on Fourth Street and the almost immediately (1 block after Frwy) turn right on State Street. Once you are on State Street you will see the School on your right side.
From the EAST... you can take the Santa Monica Frwy (I-10 West), then transfer to Santa Ana Frwy (I-5 South). Once on the Santa Ana Frwy, stay on the right lane. Exit at the Fourth (4th) Street exit and turn right on Fourth Street and the almost immediately (1 block after Frwy) turn right on State Street. Once you are on State Street you will see the School on your right side.
